Santa Barbara Sandcastle Festival

The annual Santa Barbara Sandcastle Festival is an exciting way each year in September to celebrate the beautiful ocean and beaches of Santa Barbara. East Beach on the Santa Barbara waterfront is the home for this annual sandcastle and sculpting contest. The event includes a sandcastle building contest with prizes, sand trap miniature golf, free sand candle making and live music. Food and refreshments are available, and other activities are always lined up. The sandcastle competition requires no previous experience, and every team is limited to ten people. The finished creations will be evaluated by a panel of judges and spectators will vote for the "People's Choice Awards." Viewers of this video might also enjoy the Santa Barbara Zoo.
